ConEmu will not start a terminal/shell successfully

Versions

ConEmu build: 210912 x64 OS version: Windows 10 64 Used shell version (Far Manager, git-bash, cmd, powershell, cygwin, whatever): cmd (although, it does not seem to matter, same error with all shells I tested)

Problem description

ConEmu won't start up a shell and the ConEmu window closes immediately when I run it. Log seem so indicate some sort of issue with a server process.

Steps to reproduce

1. Run Windows Command Prompt
2. Change directory to ConEmu application folder
3. Run conemu -detached -log (in order to even get a ConEmu window to open and capture logs)
4. In the ConEmu UI, select New Console Dialog
5. Use the default {cmd::Cmder} (although this selection does not seem to matter, I get the same result with any available options)
6. Select Start

Actual results

Text briefly flashes by and then the ConEmu window closes.

Expected results

ConEmu should start the desired shell in a terminal.

Note: this issue is occurring with the version of ConEmu bundled in the latest version of cmder. I have downloaded the latest stand-alone version of ConEmu (220418 x64) and I can't even get the GUI up. Only one log file is produced:
