While this is presently by design, we should implement the parallelize and serialize methods to allow this to be configurable

The build looks like it's failing due to running out of memory unfortunately - and we don't provide pre-builds for armv7l, only arm64
You may be able to get it to build yourself locally, using lower concurrency, but no promises
This sounds like an issue in Buenavista, not DuckDB
The DuckDB python bindings now have support for UDF's - does this fulfil your requirements?
Can you please clarify your OS? iOS on an iPhone or MacOS on a Mac?
