Enhancement: Full Screen Poster

Open ZeroCoolGOS opened this issue 3 years ago • 7 comments

Add option to do a 'Full Screen' poster.

Disabling all text and taking over full 'Portrait' mode.

Similar to one used in the wild. su2w9nu0kjj31

@ZeroCoolGOS Really looking forward to this working but in 2.11.2 most of the pics posters are cropped incorrectly if not all and every poster is blurred. Definitely can't use this with my vertical 50" TV setup just yet. Looks great on my laptop but I only use that for testing purposes. Let me know if you need to see some screenshots as an example.

@titelies

Yes I know it's cropping. I am working on a fix for 2.11.3

But if you can provide me with some more examples of this issue that would be great. This way I can see how it's working on other displays as I don't have a large collection to test on.

So a restart of my Pi fixed the every-photo blur, must have been a resolution issue, so it's just the crop issue. Sorry for the confusion.

No problem.

Blur issue most likely was due to a Shift F5 hard refresh of the browser as that would have cached the CSS change. But glad the blur is fixed.

Ya, hope to have the resolution issue today or tomorrow, or at a compromise fix until I get what I really want working.

I just hope I don't bug @MattsShack to much with all my PRs. :)

Crop issue is resolved, however in a vertical environment, the top and bottom are now just empty black bars. On my laptop using it horizontally, it fits the browser all the way to the top and bottom. @titelies

Ya. I get that too.

I am not sure how I am going to fix that just yet as the image might get too stretched out and look odd.

I saw the concept and thought it might work well. It might just need actual custom resolution images that allow it for full size.

I will still keep playing with it to see what we can do. But if you have any ideas please let us know. :)
