[Linux] Vpn mode recovery after an unexpected exit

some time when i close or kill nekoray on next launch vpn mode is off but vpn mode is enabled somehow (i checked my ip)

and vpn mode checkbox cannot be toggled when i tested with -debug this error happend start service: initialize inbound/tun[0]: configure tun interface: device or resource busy

Don't kill the program.

If the program exited accidentally, run sudo killall nekobox_core to disable VPN mode.

can you check on startup if that process is running mark vpn mode as checked? i hope this will fix this issue

#92 and #111 happened to me, multiple times i think before starting VPN Mode should check if nekobox_core.exe process exist and kill its process before starting same process again it will solve them, but with custom core, should not do it as their filename maybe be something like svchost.exe (lol) Also your usage of Taskkill.exe in windows is not correct You need to add /t /f to Taskkill.exe command, because sometimes can't kill the process unless you add this parameters

same problem here, with nekoray latest version on windows 11, see the picture below: i tried killing the task nekobox_core.exe and turn on vpn mode again but no fix. also killing the process using cmd(Administrator) and restart the application or turn on vpn mode without restarting the application didn't help me solve the issue. also the application is running as the Administrator privileges.

I realized this problem is because after closing the program, ‍‍‍‍nekobox_core.exe will automatically restart. But how can this problem be solved?

even if i restart the application after i killed the nekobox_core.exe task, it will run automatically again...

This makes the proxy not work.

reinstalling nekoray didn't help me solve the issue.

i tried using older versions of nekoray until 1.7 but no fix ... what is the problem can be from ?

I have the same issue on mac using sudo killall nekobox_core did the trick and fixed it.

درود please speak English :)) you can set 'remote dns' option to 8.8.8.8 and enable enhanced domain name resolution go and check routing settings

سلام من هم به خوبی داشتم باهاش کار میکردم و یهو کلا دیگه قط شد و نتونستم vpn mode را فعال کنم چند باری حذف کردم و دوباره گرفتم

I changed DNS for another purpose and used Cloudflare DNS. Later, I found out that the problem of not connecting to Nekuri VPN was solved. I doubt that this is the right solution. If anyone finds a solution, please post it here 👍 😉

اگه آدرس دامنه ای داخل نکوری تنظیم کردید که بای‌پس بشه حذفش کنید مشکل برطرف می‌شه.

Remove domain addr from Bypass CIDR & restart ProxyService/nekoray. solved the problem.

First, close nekoray, then, find "nekoray_core.exe" in task manager and close it.. it solved my problem..

in macOS its the same process,, just find the nekoray_core and force close it
