[Bug] IV/Play ignoring maximized state on re-start.

Open john-iv opened this issue 7 years ago • 1 comments

Steps:

  1. Launch IV/Play and maximize screen.
  2. Press ESC or [x] to close.
  3. Re-launch.

Expected: Maximized state retained and gone to.

Actual: Last windowed size used.

Partial workaround: Use fullscreen windowed mode in F1 configuration or edit iv-play.cfg window height / length manually.

FWIW, this still happens here. Start with fresh .cfg, maximize with maximize button. Hit ESC. Relaunch. Will have returned to prior default size, but up in the left corner.

What will work, in Win11 at least, is if you launch with fresh .cfg, then drag the titlebar up to the top of the screen to 'snap maximize' and then hit ESC. It will then retain its full size and reflect the new size in the cfg after closure.

Note: The above won't work if you use the keyboard equivalents, windows + up arrow. It goes to original small size on ESC and restart.

Note2: I have two monitors if that is a consideration.

I just noticed this bug was closed, so I downloaded the latest version of IV-Play, and can still reproduce this issue with that version.
