if i remember correctly, in the section where you can select the file system, you can select LUKS, which actually provides disk encryption.

@Razer0123 You can use archfi to encrypt your root and home part with luks but it's more a POC... If you want to encrypt your system, it's better that you make your own parts and mount your newly system before the mount of archfi... With this, you have your custom encryption system... Bootloader on an usb, full encryption, ...

Hey @MatMoul !

I am installing Arch via archfi (it is awesome, thank you for all your hard work) and I did indeed want to have the system full disk encrypted from the outset.

I too noticed the LUKS option for the partitioning and am trying to use it, but does the advice above still hold on 25 oct 2021? Is the LUKS option still considered PoC and we should use something like:

https://gist.github.com/huntrar/e42aee630bee3295b2c671d098c81268

to setup full disk encryption via partitioning and mount the system before running archfi? I am looking for the same sort of encryption setup I'd get if using, say Ubuntu/POP or say Manjaro with disk encryption setup. Just trying to puzzle out how to do that from scratch. =]

thanks!
