ListenBrainz - looped tracks not scrobbled properly

OS: Pop_os! App: Flatpak ver 5.17.0

When I listen to one song in a loop it doesn't scrobble to ListenBrainz. ScrobbleDelay is set to 10000 ms.

1. I'm starting to listen to a song, setting it to be played in a loop.
2. After a while it's displayed in ListenBrainz as 'currently playing'
3. The song is finished and starting again.
4. Nothing is scrobbled to LB, nothing is displayed as 'currently playing'
5. Song is playing in a loop x times
6. Another song is played
7. Now the new song is displayed as 'currently playing'
8. The previous song is scrobbled to LB but only as one play, not x

4 & 5 are expected, there is an explicit check for changing songs that doesn't account for loops. On 8 I'm not sure what you would want to happen, did you want the looped song to appear as many times as it looped?

Regarding 8. Yes, from my perspective it should work that way by default. I'm not sure how other LB scrobblers work (I use only Tidal-HiFi with it) but Last.fm counts every play of looped track:

But if it's an intended behaviour it's up to you how it will work. Thanks for the response

I hadn't thought about it before. It also makes sense to me that it would count every loop as a separate play :)

PS: I'll check out the track too, must be a banger if you got it on loop 😄
