Volume Up/Down as Switches

Open DubbyMcDubs opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

Hi,

The Marantz/Denon IP command set has the ability to step the volume up and down in single increments, without specifying an absolute volume value (commands MVUP and MVDOWN). Can we get this functionality exposed as switches? This is handy for interfacing with hardware controls like remotes and rotary dimmers, like the Ikea Symfonisk controller.

Cheers.

Hi, I use a "dummy switch" and add a URL-action to it to trigger something on my Marantz. This example triggers preset 1. Change the ip-adres to your IP and change the action from "MSSMART1" into "MVUP" or "MVDOWN". Probably this will do the trick (sorry but the screenshot is in Dutch). PNG-afbeelding

Hi. Thanks for the reply! Funny that you post this as I just tried using MVUP via "Get Contents of URL" tonight, however it did not work. I created a shortcut under the button of my IKEA Symfonisk.

I will try using the URL action now...

Got it working. Thank you! There was some confusion when at some point the AVR started refusing connections, but seems to be OK now.
