Time taken to update

I've had this running for the last 24 hours or so, and I'm very happy to FINALLY be able to get AirTag data into HA. Thanks again! It's great :-)

I had a few questioins:

1. Are we supposed to keep the Apple 'Find My' app open all the time? Along with the 'FindMySync' app?

2. Is there any way to control how often we get data from the FindMy devices/phones?

I noticed a few hours after installing yesterday that GPS locations for my kids phones and airtags, and battery readings for my phone, were all 2 or 3 hours out of date. I discovered that if I brought the Apple 'Find My' app to the foreground, and let it update, my HA entities would be accurate after the next 5 minute FindMySync update.

It's now 10am the next day, i'm looking at the FindMy entities in HA, and according to the GPS readings my kids are still at home (they went to school 3 hours ago). Apple 'Find My' app has been running all night, but hidden. 'FindMySync' has also been running all night but hidden. Is there anything I can do to get more regular updates? Would some kind of script to unhide Apple 'FindMy' every 30 minutes change anything?

3. do you know if keeping the Apple 'Find My' app open all day long would have any impact on battery life for the phones being tracked?
