recommend introducing weblate to collaborate on multilingual translations online
dear @Martchus , If you can add a translation project to weblate, I'd be happy to translate the app into Simplified Chinese and make a small contribution to the internationalization of the application! The link to the weblate website is here: https://hosted.weblate.org/
Hi, I'm aware of Weblate from other projects but don't like using it myself as Qt Linguist is much better in my opinion. I have also just updated the German translations via gemini-cli which worked semi-well but definitely saved me some tedious typing.
Of course I don't have anything against others using Weblate for translating Syncthing Tray. So feel free to add the project there yourself. If you need me as repository owner to lead this effort I can also do it. However, I would prefer to spend as less time as possible on this.
Oh, this is actually about Tag Editor. I have just assumed this was about my other project Syncthing Tray.
I guess for Tag Editor the same applies - except that I really don't want to put a lot of effort into translations here. I haven't even translated it into my own native language.
Also note that the command-line interface is not internationalized. So you can't translate it. This is also not that easy to change.
Judging by https://weblate.org/de/hosting, https://hosted.weblate.org is not free to use. I am definitely not willing to spend money on this. At least right now I also don't want to take the effort of setting up a Weblate instance on my server.
This doesn't mean somebody else can't do it. After all, this is an open source project and contributions are generally welcome.
dear @Martchus , I was unaware that Weblate is a paid service. I had previously used it while assisting with translations for other projects and found it extremely useful. After briefly researching it using AI, I mistakenly assumed it was open-source and free—apparently not! I sincerely apologize for this unintentional oversight. I have now completed the Simplified Chinese translations. Please find the relevant files attached below for your review. Thank you!
Thanks for the translations, I'll add them to the repository so they'll be available in the next release. (Which I'll probably do soon anyway.)
dear @Martchus , A few minor corrections have been made. Please find the latest simplified Chinese translation file attached. Thank you!
I added your changes.
