Is your feature request specific to a certain platform/environment? Please specify. KDE plasma 6 and later versions. Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Existing kde plasmoid /widget on the store does not support or does not work plasma 6 and kde shows that the widget was made for an older version of plasma and hence not supported.

Describe the solution you'd like Add support / packages for plasma 6 so that the widget is supported on plasma 6 . Might require using qt6 version.

Describe alternatives you've considered can provide separate package ,code files and installation command for plasma 6 if inconsistent with existing default version.

On what store? The version of the Plasmoid provided by this repo supports Plasma 6. So how exactly did you compile Syncthing Tray? Read the build instructions for specifying the Qt and KDE Frameworks version. You need to build against Qt 6 and KF6 for Plasma 6 support.

Syncthing tray was installed using command : sudo apt install syncthingtray-kde-plasma . On the official downloads page (https://martchus.github.io/syncthingtray/#downloads-section) I only see listing under community downloads for Ubuntu and Kde integrations and tried using both the commands there but it didn't work. Currently my device is running KDE neon (which runs ubuntu underneath) . Is there a section describing how to build from source for kde for unlisted distros ?
here are detailed version info if it helps : Operating System: Kubuntu 24.04 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0 Qt Version: 6.9.3 Kernel Version: 6.14.0-35-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 250 w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (29.0 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 21SUCTO1WW System Version: ThinkPad E16 Gen 3

See this note on the Ubuntu section on the website:

Those packages may be available on Ubuntu derivats as well (e.g. Pop!_OS). KDE neon is known to not support the packages.

There are general build instructions but nothing for specific distributions. I generally try to avoid adding information that is distribution-specific (like exact names of dependencies) because it would be outdated at some point anyway. You probably have to install some *-devel packages.
