Issue Descriptions:
Since a day or so ago when i open the app, i just check such on the spinning loading screen
I have checked the Console logs for the PID as the processes are running at like 100% and then 100% for a helper.
There are some errors in the console output
Steps to Reproduce: I just open the app on my mac and it just spins and spin and is burning through about 200% cpu 😂

I have the same issue here, same environment as described (Catalina 10.15.4).
I noticed after waking from sleep that my speakers wouldn't work, so I rebooted and now I can no longer launch the app (though the speakers are working again). Could be unrelated, but FYI.
As a work-around to playback music, switching to the YouTube Music alpha worked for me.
@sschuberth Do you mean within the application or a separate build? The problem is the application never actually loads. I am using it for GPM not YM
Within the app. Even if the main screen does not load you can still switch to YouTube Music alpha from the tray icon menu.
Where are you seeing this? I must be being really blind!
At least on Windows, it's there:
So i dont have windows. But a way to get it to load on mac. You will lose your settings
Delete the app. Delete the Google Play Music folder under ~/Library/Application Support/
Then install and open the app.
You can switch to YTM in the toolbar menu.
That doesn't help GPM at all though. I'll try wiping settings & reinstall.
Can confirm that wiping settings & reinstalling does do the trick.
