Normal media keys not working if you have OSX touchscreen bar

Open danjenkins opened this issue 5 years ago • 6 comments

I have a macbook pro with the touchbar support - I can tap into the special controller for this app and control play/pause/scroll etc - awesome. However, if I use the media buttons outside of that menu on the touchbar OR the media buttons on an apple bluetooth keyboard; the controls don't work.

Is there any way to get both sets of controls working? I use the bluetooth keyboard while I'm at my desk so it doesn't really work having to then move over to the laptop keyboard just to skip.

The media keys don't work for me either. I have Macbook Pro with touchbar and use OS 10.14.3 Mojave.

Just upgraded to Google Play Music Desktop Player Version 4.7.1 (4.7.1) and no media keys on touchbar or bluetooth keyboard work. I reported this broken in previous issue which was marked as fixed but it is not. Thanks!

This started happening for me today, no media controls work and the right-click controls don't work either.

Not sure if this is related, but I know MY problem wasn't the one reported in this ticket, but rather this one: https://github.com/MarshallOfSound/Google-Play-Music-Desktop-Player-UNOFFICIAL-/issues/3920

And I was able to fix it by downloading the pre-release version
