https://markbind.org/devdocs/devGuide/development/workflow.html#general-tips After clicking the "below" link, the modal does not close in the foreground and the page moves to the correct anchor in the background.

Expected behavior

The modal should close.

Interesting observation. I just tested this behavior in Material UI and it does seem to also have this "bug". I think the behavior is somewhat expected because you are still on the same page and there shouldn't be any expectation that clicking on a link (or in fact anywhere within the modal) will close the modal.

I think I'll put this as low priority, probably wont-fix.
