Often it is not easy to tell exactly.

To do so one must write write down the current list, doing an Undo, and then compare.

In fact the message could even say if it was removed, or if it was overwrote.

Reporting the number of changed tags is a compromise, and to make a potential long list of such tags useful it would have to be persisted which again would create more noise.
