ABC+ icon: hint if worth tapping

I have an idea for the ABC+ icon.

There it is at the top of this page: and sometimes if we hit it nothing will change:

But sometimes if we hit it, we get a whole lot more stuff to choose from:

My idea is: perhaps have the ABC+ marker in red or bold etc. in the case where pushing it will cause more stuff to appear. That way we have an idea if it's worth pushing it, nstead of having to try our luck every time.
