Provide a way for automatically filling vacancies

At the moment, when you create a vacancy and then someone fills that role, the vacancy does not get automatically assigned as a role or removed as a vacancy. There is an obvious manual workaround, so this isn't particularly high priority.

It is something that gets requested from time to time though, here are two support threads I can find (and I noted in one of them that it had been requested a couple of times before, presumably via other channels):
