Improve map embedding

As described in #519 , iframe embedding can be very tricky. This is an umbrella issue encompassing:

getting to a robust solution that will attempt to cover the majority of issues that may arise when embedding our maps on other pages (if we decide to go this way - probably not the best course of action)
addressing any glitches that arise from customers embedding maps on their websites
