Printing maps

I ran 1on1 with two members of my team yesterday. I would find it useful to have a downloadable overview of the whole map that I could print, instead of both looking at the small screen of a laptop. Even with small characters, I think it would be more pleasant to work with than a fully zoomed out view on the screen.
A thought ... I think that printing the circle maps in its entirety is impractical, the same way it would be to ask GoogleMaps to print the map of Paris or London. Regardless of the size of paper, choices need to made by the users as to what to print... choices could be :
- map with or without avatars
- map printing only a few layers of the map
- individually decide which circles to print until they deem the map readable
I've been chatting to a customer about a printable version of the map which is an essential feature for them.
I am wondering about a possible simpler solution to implement. This customer experimented with exporting the map as a PDF using Chrome's print feature. It actually worked quite well - see attachment. I am wondering if we could create a print-friendly stylesheet or page template which removes all headers, footers and navigation, leaving just the map. Then a user could create a PDF from this by printing from Chrome. Maptio_print.pdf
One thing to take into consideration is that while this could work for the current version of the map, the new version on staging does not have a display mode where all circles are visible (they display progressively.)
What do you think
I would love to see an MVP of a printable circle map. It doesn't have to be perfect but it is something customers ask for frequently.
Seeing as Steve H is keen on this one, perhaps you'd like to have a look into feasibility and see what might be possible? Even a minimum viable feature would be useful.
Some notes on workarounds and what the (short!) route to getting to this feature might be like on this intercom conversation: https://app.intercom.com/a/apps/q3x5lnhp/inbox/inbox/conversation/106323200001474
I've not seen this request in a long, long time, but it popped back up again here: https://app.intercom.com/a/inbox/q3x5lnhp/inbox/shared/all/conversation/106323200014470?view=List
