Maptio
Prototype of sociocracy view
I had a suggestion from someone prominent in the Sociocracy community. I think if we did this it could be very popular in the Sociocracy community so I wonder how feasible it would be to make a prototype?
They would like to visualise their circles like this:

Might be some clues in their demo about a JS library to use.
The logic is:
- What would normally be our outer circle is in the middle (what they call General Circle)
- The first layer of sub-circles are positioned around it (they should be touching the centre circle to show they are linked but not touching each other.)
- Further sub-circles are positioned around their parents.
- Within the circles, helpers (or roles, once we have the enhanced roles functionality) are shown.
- Colours and shading can be used to distinguish between the main branches.
It would be great to know whether we could put a demo together.
I just attended @tomnixon's presentation about Maptio at the Sociocracy For All Annual Conference. Thanks for sharing that fun overview and interesting news about Maptio, Tom. One thing Tom mentioned is that there may be renewed energy, and possibly new infrastructure support, for this style of branching view of circle relationships. That is definitely something that we would enjoy at Sociocracy For All; I actually had an action item in one of my circles to chime in here, so now I get to check it off. Consider us interested; I'll be keeping an eye on updates, and I may look for other ways I can contribute.
