Windows Explorer freezing/glitching

Windows explorer freezes with EBM installed and has to be restarted multiple times, in order to do things such as opening Control Panel via Open Shell start button menu . Or EBM has to be uninstalled in order for that to function correctly. Also and perhaps related, Explorer windows, regardless of which setting is used are often completely transparent after a reboot, instead of blurred.
