There's already been a bunch of requests for this (https://github.com/Maplespe/DWMBlurGlass/issues/403, https://github.com/Maplespe/DWMBlurGlass/issues/387, https://github.com/Maplespe/DWMBlurGlass/issues/215, https://github.com/Maplespe/DWMBlurGlass/issues/181, https://github.com/Maplespe/DWMBlurGlass/issues/75) and most have been closed. I don't think Maplespe has given any official word on it though. Any reason you don't want to use OpenGlass?

Just a few small things. In DWMBlurGlass, you can get caption button glow which I don’t think is in OpenGlass. Also DWMBlurGlass is easier to use, so I’d like to be able to keep it as a second option im my theme for people who don’t really know what they’re doing and just want the theme. I also had some issues with the OpenGlass and uDWM patch, which I still prefer over OpenGlass’s option to use classic borders. It can get rounded windows while while still providing squared menus, which OpenGlass’s option can’t.

Based on the current technical roadmap, DWMBlurGlass will completely replace OpenGlass.dcomp after the rewrite and inherit all of OpenGlass features.

Additionally, I want to remind you that using the uDWM patch essentially means saying goodbye to Windows updates—you never know which update might brick your device.

What makes you prefer the uDWM patch? I used to use it aswell but since the OpenGlass DisableModernBorders issue where shadows were not restored on 23H2 was fixed there isn't a real advantage in my eyes. In addition, when I used to use the uDWM patch I had no issues running it with OpenGlass and instead it crashed DWMBG.

It can get rounded windows while while still providing squared menus, which OpenGlass’s option can’t.

I had this "issue" too that I brought up in another thread, a lightweight workaround is to use the "Disable Rounded Corners on Windows 11" Windhawk mod. It doesn't affect OpenGlass and gets rid of the rounded context menus.
