Enable or Toggle Copy and Paste Functionality in Manifold Texts

Copy and paste functions are required by some assistive platforms for students with visual impairments in order to work. If the selection functions like highlighting and annotations prevent this from happening, is there a way to make a toggle to enable copy-and-paste and disable highlighting/etc. in the options?
