yes, it definitely needs fixing. eventually the "out out band data should be materialized and completely removed from the security advisories DB, see also: https://github.com/haskell/security-advisories/pull/179 cc @elland for this

Does it not show the output that cabal itself sends to stderr? Smth like “the index state is N days old”?
