Highlight from wc-mode lost

Hi,

First of all, thank you for smart-mode-line - it's very nice and I have been using it for a long time.

I recently started using wc-mode together with its word-goal feature to keep track of how much I write per day. Unfortunately, the highlighting done by wc-mode on its indicator when the goal is reached is not visible when smart-mode-line is enabled. Any ideas if/how this could be fixed?
