makemd [BUG] "New space from note" option makes note unusable

After transforming note to space, it's moved to a folder with that note's name but the note itself cannot be opened even after obsidian restart. All the content is lost (maybe not on hdd but from user's point of view).

I'm having the same issue. From what I've seen, the issue seems to be that during the process, the file looses it's extension (I mean the .md), so it doesn't get recognized as a markdown file. @Arputikos, don't worry, you're notes aren't lost, just add ".md" to the end of your files' names.

There were some underlying issues due to the obsidian update. The original issue is unrelated. The patch should address the new issue

@jp-cen The obsidian update was not the cause. I've had this problem since before the obsidian update and after the most recent Make-md update
