The Obsidian File Explorer has this button, which helps refreshing the view.

There exists a palette command "MAKE.md: Collapse All Folders". I have mapped it to a hotkey (Alt+U for me). It is the fastest way to activate this and personally a prominent button would just clutter the area too much. That is a personal bias, since i am very mindful about keeping my obsidian interface minimal, but i still have to oppose this request.
