Pinned showed up temporarily under additional space

I pinned an item to a space, and it showed up there but it also was added to another space that I don't remember selecting, i.e it was added to two spaces. I thought maybe I selected it by mistake, but in about 15 minutes it disappeared by itself from the additional space.
