Themes not working on Chrome browser app via iPhone

I added SHOW_THEMES to an app I'm working on. On Chrome via iPhone, when I change a theme, the app greys out and becomes unusable. Much of the text isn't readable. Moreover, it can't be reversed on the app itself. I have to clear my iPhone's browser cache and then it goes back to normal.
