Generated email reply ignores actual email context, outputs generic response

Open guidofraga opened this issue 8 months ago • 1 comments

Bug Description

When trying to auto-generate a reply based on an incoming email, the AI often ignores the actual context of the message. Instead, it outputs a generic response related to project deadlines—even when the original email doesn't mention anything about deadlines or projects.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Receive an email with specific context (e.g., requesting clarification on a meeting agenda).
  2. Use the Generate Email button on Reply page.
  3. Observe that the generated response talks about unrelated topics, such as project deadlines or scheduling, which are not mentioned in the original email.

Expected Behavior

The AI should generate a context-aware reply that directly addresses the content of the received email.

Actual Behavior

The AI generates a generic and irrelevant response, typically referencing project deadlines, regardless of the email content.

@guidofraga - I believe this should be fixed -- Can you test and see if the generated response is better?
