[FEATURE] Custom Fingerprint Icon
Describe the feature
The ability to customize the icon on lock screen that serves as a fingerprint reader. Currently on my Pixel 6 it is an icon of a fingerprint.
Why would it be useful to add?
Depends on your definition of "useful." It would be useful to me because the icon is ugly. But as far as adding functionality? Zero

Seems a cool idea.
I passed the idea by the guys over @AOSPmods, but they shot me down. I'm positive I've seen it done on other Roms unless I'm confusing the fingerprint icon with the actual lock icon that looks like a padlock. Either way I'm pretty sure that there is a user on Telegram that I saw accomplish the changing of the fingerprint icon. I was reading some comments on a channel for customizing Android n such and he changed his. Unless I took what he was saying out of context, which is very possible
I actually have no UDFPS. 😢 Only a lock icon shows up on mine.

Even the change of the lock icon would be really cool!

It already changes with different icon packs. I will look into changing the UDFPS icon.
Well mine only has a fingerprint on it if I have set up the unlock with fingerprint option. If I don't set it up, then no fingerprint it's just the lock icon.. I'm surprised it's not the same for you
changing fps icon isnt that difficult. am doing it with substratum rn. hiding the circles is also easy.
aosp uses lottie animations here (SystemUI, LS and Aod icon)
res/raw/udfps_lockscreen_fp.json res/raw/udfps_aod_fp.json
The fps background circle is a drawable here:
res/drawable/fingerprint_bg.xml
and the new (A14) shortcuts circles are here:
res/drawable/keyguard_bottom_affordance_bg.xml
I had a weird bug with march a14 which caused the aod to use LS fps icon. It never got fixed until I did a full wipe install of a15. Tbh I liked LS fps icon on aod because it can then be customized using Pixel Xpert's hide background circle option which caused the FPS icon in aod to take color of current theme. I was on Pixel 6a by the way.
