Notifications in MA.M

any can help for create the notificators ? is a great idea add the system of the notifications when you can set the Icon,text,etc

Yes, this one. And I think the progress bar on the top showing how long it's going to display is very cool.

@spiritdead I didn't make that. That's the one from MetroTwit.

@Cornyfisch I don't know if this is in the scope of MA.M. We can wait for @shiftkey to weight in.

I'd be happy to implement this but I don't want to waste time on something that won't be put in.

Hm yeah. Let's say we use the ones provided from Windows 8? The one that the apps uses. That would be great on Windows 8 pcs, but MA.M is supposed to run on other windows versions as well, right? Then we definitly have to create our own ones.

@Cornyfisch Indeed. I have notifications that look similar to Windows 8's toast notifications. They even slide in from the right like they do. I could provide several different kinds of notifications.

EDIT: The picture reminded me of something. See the number '1' next to the word 'replies'? I know in the main window, it has what I think are GroupBoxes that have those 'counters' (see the 'friends' and 'mentions' sections in the pic below). It would be a nice little feature to add to the GroupBox if we already have a MetroGroupBox control. img

I've got no issues with seeing something like this get added into a future release.

Feel free to throw ideas around for how it might look, but keep in mind the theming side of things :)

I think Telegram Desktop notifications are a good example (including themeing) :

here is an example from youtube here is another still image example: image And I think there should be an option to show the notifications within the bounds of the window OR in the desktop like WIN10.
