Updated for XCode 6.4 and added test for packing of boolean values

I am a new XCode and Swift user. In order to make these changes I performed numerous web searches in order to find the changes in Swift from when the code was originally written and tested. I believe these changes make sense but a more experienced developer should check them. The code now passes all tests.
