I was unaware that these images existed, are these the highest possible resolutions or is it possible to use even higher definition pictures? In large scale, even 500px wide pictures...

This was not achievable in any easy way, will postpone it for a possible future update.
Will look into this. As it is right now Edge supports chrome extensions so it has been quite low on my list of priorities.
