Could be useful. I believe it will test each commit?

Yes, I believe so. In that case, if/when you have time, could you merge this and setup the action? I believe we need to adjust Python versions, 3.8 through 3.12 are supported. I don't see much in supporting older versions. If GitHub supports testing against the upcoming 3.13 we should do that too.
