Problem with latest Eclipse Neon

Open ci-macpaw opened this issue 8 years ago • 1 comments

I just downloaded the Java EE version of eclipse neon (eclipse.org) and it was delivered as a tar.gz file. Double clicking it launched the unarchiver and it seemed to work as expected. Once I ran the application I got a popup saying something like "Eclipse is damaged and it should be moved to the trash" (never seen this before). I did the same exact thing again (even re-downloading) and got the same results.

The third time I instead used the terminal and 'tar xzf eclipse...tar.gz' and it worked fine. Seems there is something about this file that the unarchiver doesn't like so I thought I'd bring it to you attention. FYI, the name of the file I got was: eclipse-jee-neon-R-macosx-cocoa-x86_64.tar.gz
