Add support for mzp
Originally reported on Google Code with ID 319
I've turned up two ".mzp" archives on the web this week -- first time I've come across
that file type.
The NFO that came with one of the files says: "Notes: Extract or mount the mzp archive
with WinArchiver."
Being 100% Mac-oriented, I can't use PC/Win to expand the file, so found you guys.
Can you do it??
I will send you one of the files, to practice on, but only at your request. One is
65 MB and the other is 214 MB.
Thanks a lot.
John

Again, it is mostly pointless to keep asking. Ask the creator of the format to release
some information about it, and there is much more of a chance of getting support for
it.
sapelza.com:
Would be fine to extract mzp on macs ...
paracelsus:
Finding some documentation or technical information about the format would go a long
way towards getting support for it.
obsidiandestroyer:
I also need suport for this format. It claims to be a 'mountable archive' (http://social.wakoopa.com/software/winarchiver#more).
acalper:
Ineed support for this too. And yes, spending $100+ for a copy of windows is one way,
but it's not a way I will use...
fredhandl:
Easiest way out would be to use a virtual machine and install Windows. That's how I
did it. Installed Winarchiver and unpacked. Winarchiver is free for 30 days. But it
served me well. Was so happy to delete it, though :-)

been looking on the net for this... just found some info. I also downed a filed and
the info text just said use the "WinArchiver22.exe" to unzip the file. So apparently
that program unzips the file. However, I'm a mac user as well, so I still don't know
what to do yet.
paracelsus:
Apparently there are several formats named this.
d235j.1:
Research indicates this may be Autodesk 3ds max Maxscript format. If so, it's supposed
to be a .zip file, just renamed.
paracelsus:
This appears to be some new and undocumented format. It's not supported by The Unarchiver.
It would perhaps be possible to add support for it, but it would be a lot of work since
it is apparently not described anywhere. I might consider doing it if it turns out
to be a format people actually use in the wild. For now, though, no luck.
If anyone else needs support, please post further comments here.
