v4.3.3 deletes the complete Application Support folder

Hi there,

I just noticed when Setapp tries to delete the ExtensionsUsage folder, it wipes out the complete Applications Support folder, or the Documents part of it at least.

It's huge issue for NotePlan, because we are storing the user's notes there, downloaded from CloudKit. So the user opens this new version and sees a blank app, no notes, empty folders. We have released this already on the App Store, so this is a major issue we have to deal with now.

Falling back to v4.3.2 seems to resolve it.

Some logs: 06-10-2025 8:56:24.37 AM] [Error] > ExtensionsUsage folder found in Application Support directory

How to reproduce it:

  • I installed a version which used a previous version of Setapp, about 2 months old (I'm not sure which one, but one that creates the ExtensionsUsage folder)
  • Installed a version with the latest Setapp library
  • Upon launching it wipes out the complete folder
