How to create proximity zones?

Is there a way to create proximity zones in this library? I've looked all methods and events but nothing is relevant to that. I read aboutregionDidEnter and regionDidExit listeners but they are completely diff stuff.

It's just to avoid manually adjusting the Broadcasting Power to a certain range because it basically changes the capabilities of the beacon.

btw, I am using Estimote location beacons if that might help!
