The Problem

• MacDown shows up in English, but my macOS is set to German, Germany.

The Reason

• Inside the app bundle, in the Resources folder, you have the country-specific localization folder(s) de-DE.lproj (and sk-SK.lproj), but the files inside have no contents.
• The broken folder blocks macOS to use of the existing, working country-unspecific localization folder de.lproj (or sk.lproj).
  • Instead, —in my case— MacDown defaults to English.

The Solution

• Remove the broken country-specific localization folder(s).

Additional Recommendations

Maybe more languages are effected. Please find out if the empty files in other *.lproj folders better should be removed.
