VU meter

It would be useful if SSR had an integrated VU meter as part of its "Recording" window. This would allow users to see if their mic is too loud/quiet before they start recording.

JACK users can use an external VU meter app to check their levels but I'd rather not have to fire up an extra program when I'm using JACK so it would be useful to all SSR users using a mic.

Ideally the user would be able to choose if the VU meter monitors the mic or the system sounds or both, or maybe have 2 VU meters, one for each.

There is currently quite a lot a free space in the Preview pane of the recording window. There is enough space to move the Preview frame rate option either above or below the Information pane. Doing that would free up enough space for a VU meter or two in the Recording window where the rather empty Preview pane is now.

Because I've already requested 3 different VU meter settings, it would have to be just the one adjustable VU meter given the size of the Recording window.
