Hi @martindevora , this was just a note to myself; an idea on how we could speed up the injection recovery tests. I assumed I was the only one ever using these bits of the code, so I have never dwelt further into it.

I'm interested because I'm also studying the way to enhance the performance of the code from the MATRIX ToolKit (https://github.com/PlanetHunters/tkmatrix), which is a tool for injection and recovery tests with several additional functionalities also used by SHERLOCK (https://github.com/franpoz/SHERLOCK), which I'm also continuously developing together to Fran.
