[Feature Request] Move generated shortcuts to app list
Something that I believe Pixel Launcher (or some other OEM launcher, unsure) does is let you put generated shortcuts, like website "installs" from Firefox or Chrome, into your general app list. Current Kv behavior puts them in the favorites list (because it doesn't have a traditional home screen) and that's pretty handy. However, starting a new row populates it with often-used apps until you reach your column count. Would it be possible to add an option to put shortcuts into the general apps list? Thank you.
I've never seen a launcher do this but I guess it would be possible? To show a dialog when a user creates a shortcut, asking whether that shortcut should be treated like an app. And then maybe hide the shortcut badge as well. Might be useful for PWAs.
PWAs is actually what I was thinking of. Grubhub, Twitter, etc etc.
@eengnr That's a good one. I was also just thinking that activity shortcuts in general would be good to have in there. (eg, GPlay's "my apps" shortcut rather than the market front page every time)
Would it then also be possible that these PWA's are displayed in the search like any other app?
@MM2-0 can we maybe have a different tab, like 'personal' and 'work' that is for such app shortcuts?
I use shelter with my work profile, and none of the shortcuts for apps show up in the app list. They are present in the favorites section, but it makes finding an app a bit confusing.
If not a dedicated section, maybe adding manual option where user can select a shortcut to be added to the existing app list?

Niagara Launcher's implementation pins it to the favorites at first, but provides an option to move it into the app list.
@MM2-0 I have noticed that inside android's smart launcher, the various home icons can be seen when editing the various apps available in the smart laucher. Maybe this can be integrated somehow.
