new projects?

I just installed, and looked at my projects. Unfortunately, only a legacy project shows up -- not any using the new (beta) project. Will new projects be supported?

Maybe this is connected: For me the extension doesn't show up my (single, organization-level) project but instead this error message:

Error: Projects (classic) is being deprecated in favor of the new Projects experience, see: https://github.blog/changelog/2024-05-23-sunset-notice-projects-classic/.
