issues about fluid balance in MIMIC-III

Description

I'm a user of MIMIC-III. I'm little confused when I calculate the fluid balance. In the inputevent_cv and inputevent_mv tables of MIMIC-III, I note that many itemids may indicate fluid administration pre-ICU admissio sql code.txt n. For example, in the attached Figure (red font), are "er" means ermergency room? "ED" means ermergency department? "OR" means operation room? "Cath lab" means catheterization room? "PACU" means postanesthesia care unit? Besides, these itemids sometimes are associated with huge fluid volume (e.g. 226364 (OR Crystalloid Intake) has a volume of 5000ml in some patients, and I guess this may be the total crystalloid volume in the OR before ICU admission). Should these fluid records be excluded when calculating fluid balance within ICU stay? There are also itemids indicating various outputs outside ICU. Many thanks for your great efforts on MIMIC!
