SaO2 in vitalPeriodic

Open qwe1256 opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Hi,

The description of the vitalPeriodic says there is a measurement of O2 saturation by the pulse oximeter. Is this O2 saturation the same as SpO2 or SaO2?

Also, I see the vitalPeriodic table has a column 'SaO2'. I would guess this is a typo because it is hard to monitor the SaO2 continuously given the data is measured at the bedside. However, it is easy to monitor SpO2 continuously. Am I missing anything?

Thanks

I think what you've inferred is likely the case. 90% of the rows in that table/field are non-null, which make it quite probably that it is done by pulse oximeter.

Thank you!

I believe you are right and the continuous periodic data reflects spo2
