Unknown ICD9 Codes

I noticed that there are some codes that do not seem to be ICD9 icd 9 diagnosis codes in the diagnosis.csv.gz file, (e.g "I25.10","J44.9") among others. The ones that are not ICD9 appear to be ICD10.

I am using icd.codes to check the codes.

Any input on this ?

Yes, the ICD codes, when available, may be ICD9 or ICD10. I believe ICD9 does not include any letters, so some basic regex should be able to select ICD9 or ICD10 as needed.
