Pivoted_uo: why sum(cellvaluenumeric)?

Hi,

I've got a question about the pivoted_uo script, line 170. I was wondering why cellvaluenumeric is summed?

I'd think that mulitple entries at the same offset would mostly consist of (double) entry mistakes? Then it'd make more sense to take the average of these values instead of the summation. Now, the query might overestimate urineoutput?

But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe multiple entries at the same offset are indeed different measurements (f.e.: nurse vs catheter).

I haven't looked into this myself, but I assume the values are summed for the reason you said, to sum over the different types of measurements.

What you say could be true -- there may be double entries, but I would first try to estimate how often this occurs by doing a couple manual queries. I think if the offset, amount or type differ, it's unlikely to be a duplicate.
