No August 2024 Developers Call
I'm canceling our August 2024 developers' call because, on Mattermost several regulars said they couldn't attend and no one said they could. Also, our previous call was only 3 weeks ago.
There are some things we could have discussed in August and I encourage people to look at the relevant issues and provide input under this issue or on the linked issues & PRs.
#1118 Overhaul branch protection rules: @tsalo has suggested we require only 1 review vs 2 to merge PRs. I'm fine with this, but this should have more discussion & be paired with changes to our contributors' documentation.
I finally got around to reviewing the updates to the figure-generating notebook in #1074. Hopefully this can be updated & merged soon.
We've also merged a bunch of PRs that have been sitting open for a while and a bunch of documentation improvements:
- #1064 Generate metrics from external regressors using F stats
- #1086 Refactor gscontrol module
- #1088 Refactor metrics.dependence module
- #1113 Cleaning up installation instructions
- #1114 documentation and resource updates
- #1115 Update list of multi-echo datasets
- #1117 Link to open-multi-echo-data website
Since documentation changes are on https://tedana.readthedocs.io/ after a version is released, if we think #1074 will be merged soon, I'd like to wait for that to be merged and then release a new version followed by a newsletter highlighting the updates.
I've also aligned the robustICA PR #1013 with our current main (see: https://github.com/BahmanTahayori/tedana_florey/pull/5 ) and I'm working on addressing other issue so that we'll be able to fully review and hopefully merge soonish.
Anything else to highlight/discuss between now and our scheduled September 19th meeting?
