Devices in TDI are no longer addable with TCL

Greg Tchilinguirian [email protected] reports:

I was wondering if there was a simple way to drag our tdi based devices forward into newer versions of MDSplus without porting to Python. Using TCL to add an appropriate device/model seems to gloss over the tdi "fun" and grumble about them not being Python. When I include their location in the MDS_PATH the files are located (confirmed via strace) but are not loaded.

Hello Greg, We did the following tests Test 1: - updated the version of MDsplus alpha from 7.126 to 7.134 (latest alpha version) - added a tdi/MitDevices/dt200__add.fun device to our test tree - the TDI device was added correctly Test 2: - install MDSplus Stable v 7.131 - added a tdi/MitDevices/dt200__add.fun device to our test tree - the TDI device was added correctly We were therefore wonder if you could let us know the following:

1- What version of MDSplus you are and which version you were updating to? 2- Can you add any TDI device at all? 3- If yes to 2), then maybe you could send us the one that does not work?

Thank you, Best regards. Fernando
